Seven Meditations On Political Sado-Masochism, a performance by The Living Theatre, first debuted in 1973. Seven Meditations was written after co-founder Judith Malina and members of the company were imprisoned--in Belo Horizonte, Brazil that same year. During their stay in prison some of the company's members were tortured--by the Médici dictatorship of Brazil.
